Kelly and I have been waiting for this moment, and we’re so stoked, excited, and humbled that it has finally arrived… we brought home a new puppy! His name is Crosby and he’s 8 weeks old today. He’s a pure Golden Retriever and a complete hoot. He came from a wonderful family in Atwater, OH, and had 4 other brothers and 2 sisters.
Where did we get his name from you might wonder, well if you know anything about Kelly and me, you know that we are hockey fans. We have season tickets to the Cleveland MOnsters which is an AHL team here in Cleveland, but our favorite hockey team is the Pittsburgh Penguins (an NHL professional team). For that reason, we decided to name him after a hockey player and ended up choosing Sydney Crosby from the Pittsburgh Penguins. Not only does the name Crosby fit for a dog, but if he follows in Syd’s footsteps, he’ll be an absolute star!
We also have 2 lovely kittens (7 months old now) that we brought home this past December. They are still unsure of Crosby, but we have no doubt that they’ll warm up to him soon enough; I mean who wouldn’t warm up to a fluff ball like him. Please join all of us in welcoming him to our home and lives!
