The Problem: You receive a phone call stating that they are calling from Microsoft Technical Support. They need to help fix a problem on your Windows computer, but first need to get remote access to verify or troubleshoot.
The Solution: Microsoft will NEVER call you. You must always engage with them first (this also goes along with almost any other technical support). Don’t fall for it, just hang up or tell them that you have a Mac 😉.
